B.S. Nutrition & Exercise Physiology - University of Missouri

Wellness Coordinator
Nick was a typical athletic kid growing up. Playing many sports in his childhood, including basketball and track in high school, gave him a natural love for staying active early on in life. After graduating high school and leaving his small hometown of Cape Girardeau, Nick started school at the University of Missouri, where he is currently in his last year, pursing a B.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. This is where his love for fitness grew exponentially. While in his sophomore year, Nick became certified as a personal trainer, and spent his junior year working as a trainer at the MizzouRec. From here he came on to the EquipmentShare fitness center team as an intern, later joining full time. As the Wellness Coordinator, Nick’s mission is to help others develop the skills to make health and wellness a part of their everyday routine. When Nick is not in the gym, you can find him hanging out with friends, playing pickleball, or helping out around his Church.
TURNING POINT
I credit my turning point into the fitness industry to my own journey and transformation, both mentally and physically. As someone who often overthinks most interactions in life, the gym became a way to escape from those negative thoughts that constantly entered my mind, telling me things that are not true. Over time, those negative thoughts slowly started to fade as I gained confidence in myself, and saw how rewarding it was to achieve my goals. I hope to empower others to be able to feel that same sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that comes from putting in your own hard work. Your health and wellness is something that ultimately only you can earn for yourself, and something no one can take away from you.
